All desire success. But of those who make the attempt
very few gain success. The truth is that it is neither very
easy nor utterly impossible to win success. Success
depends on the possession of certain qualities, the most
important of which is will-power or firm determination.
The reason why most people fail is that they do not
possess the necessary strength of will. Consequently
they are frightened away by the initial difficulties and
give up the attempt altogether in despair. But the man
who has will-power grapples with the difficulties and is
able to overcome them. He does his utmost to find some
way of overcoming these difficulties and usually
succeeds in finding one so that he gains desired object
in the end.
