XAT, NMAT, SNAP, CMAT and MAT are accepted elsewhere, and several states run their own MBA entrance tests. • A rank is not a ranking of your experience. NIRF measures the institution as a whole, not the individual specialisation, such as finance or marketing. An institution ranked lower overall may still be the stronger choice for the one you want. • Participation is voluntary. A good college missing from this list may simply not have submitted data. Absence is not evidence of poor quality. • Bands hide detail. Inside 101–150 or 201–300 the colleges are listed alphabetically, so position in that list carries no meaning at all. • Check the year.
