NOTICE
No. J.13012/1/2018-MBSE(Acad)/22: This is for the infornnation of all concerned that the
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) had published a list of
rationalized contents in textbooks whereupon several topics and chapters have been
dropped/deleted in the newly published NCERT books. Accordingly, it is hereby notificd
that the existing Mizoram Board of School Education Higher Secondary syllabus for all
subjects may be followed for the academic session 2023-2024, with the exception of
English, Sociology, Psychology and Hindi subjects wherein certain topics and chapters are
hereby dropped/deleted. The details of the dropped/deleted topics and chapters in the
syllabi of the aforementioned four subjects for Classes-XI and XIl are enclosed in
Annexure-I and II respectively.
It is further notified that for the other remaining subjects, in case the MBSE
syllabus is not covered by the NCERT rationalized textbooks, the other MBSE
recommended textbooks as listed in the textbook list issued by this Office vide
No.J. 14020/1/2018-MBSE(Acad)/14 dt. I5.12.2022 shall cover the said syllabus.
