Mahatma Gandhi was the greatest leader. He was really a great
man of India. He was born on 2nd October 1869 at Probander
(Gujarat). His full name was Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi. In early
age he was married with Kasturbe. He got his early education in his
state. For further studies he went to England and become a barrister.
After returning to India, he fought for India’s Freedom.
He was a simple man. he had great faith in Truth, Ahinsa, and
God. He loved the poor and the Harijans. India won freedom under
his leadership. Gandhiji was shot dead on 30th January, 1948. He
was the Father of the Nation. We call him “Bapu”.

My hobby is gardening. There is a small garden behind my house.
There are many kinds of plants and trees. I work very hard and
spend many hours there to water the plants regularly. There are
flower plant of different varieties. I grow there new kinds of plants.
I find my hobby very enjoyable and useful too. I like to sit in my
garden and enjoy its fresh air. I spent my pocket money to buy

seeds and new plants.

and horse riding.
Lakshmi Bai was married to the king of Jhansi, Gangadhar Rao.
When the king died, the British tried to capture Jhansi. But Rani Lakshmi
Bai protested. She joined the first war of Independence in 1857 against
the British. She fought bravely, Lakshmi Bai died in a battle on 17 June,
1858.
