Unit 3 12 06 3.1 Musical contribution of Ustad Ahmad Jan Thirkwa, Pandit 06 Anokhe Lal Mishra, Ustad Alla Rakha 3.2 Short life sketch of Pandit Kudau Singh, Pandit Nana Panse, 06 Pandit Parwat Singh Unit 4 10 06 4.1 Brief knowledge of Delhi and Banaras Gharana 05 4.2 Salient features of Kudau Singh Gharana and Punjab 05 Gharana of Pakhawaj Unit 5 14 06 5.1 Ability to write notation of the prescribed Talas and 07 compositions in Thah (Barabar), Duguns Chaugun laya. 5.2 Ability to do Tala Notation of compositions in prescribed Tala. 07 Prescribed Talas: Teentala or Adi Tala Jhaptala or Sul tala.  Questions to be set with internal choice covering the entire syllabus unit wise.  Candidate has to attempt at least one question from each unit.

Class XI (Practical) Periods: 160 Practicals: 70 Marks S. No. Topics Periods(160) 1. Knowledge of Playing Theka of Teentala or Adi Tala, Jhaptala or 25 Sultala, Ektala or Chautala with Theka Bharao. 2. Ability to play two Kayada /Rela two Chakradar Tukra or Paran one 25 Stuti Paran, Four Sadharan Tukra or Paran in Jhaptala or Sultala 3. Ability to play Four advance Kayada, one Rela, two Chakardar Tukra or 40 Paran, one Farm Chakardar Tukra or Paran in Teentala/Aditala 4. Ability to play one Adalaya Kayada or Rela with Paltas and Tihai in 20 Teentala or Adi Tala 5. Knowledge of playing Damdar and Bedamdar Tihai in prescribed Talas 10 6. Accompaniment of Vocal or Instrumental Music with Ektala or Chautala 20 in different layas. 7.
