Bird Emerging from Nest
This is a quote from Rihla :
My departure from Taijiar the place of my birth, took place of Thursday …. . I set
out alone, without any fellow traveler …. or Carwain whose company I could
join, but with an overriding impulse and a desire to see these famous holy
places which have long been from time to time in my conscience. Being
influenced. So I gave up my resolve to leave my loved ones and left my home like
birds leave their nests. I was twenty two years old that time. ….
Ibnbattuta returned home in 1354, almost thirty years after beginning his
journey.
Questions :
(i) What is Rihla ?
(ii) Why did Ibnbattuta set out alone on his journey ?
(iii) When did Ibnbattuta return to his country and what was his age at that
time ?
(iv) Where was Ibnbattuta born ?

Cash or Jeans
This Another Paragraph from Ain.
Amil Gujar should not only develop the habit of taking cash but should also be
ready to take crops. This latter method is used in many ways can be used from
first Kan Kut : In Hindi language Kan means grain and Kut, Guess …… . If there
is any doubt the crop should be cut into three separate bundles ……. good,
medium and bad and so doubts should be removed. Often even an approximate
land assessment gives a fairly accurate result. Second Batai, also known as
Bhaoli (in) harvest and collect the crop, and then in the presence and consent of
all parties let's divide. But it requires many wise Inspectors, otherwise wicked
intelligence and deceitful deceit have the intention of, Thirdly field sharing when
they divide the field after sowing the seeds. Fourth log sharing after harvestings.
They make a heap of it and then divide in among themselves, and each party
takes home his share and earn profits.
Questions :
(i) In which three bundles should the crop cut ?
(ii) What was the fourth method of harvesting ?
(iii) Explain the meaning of Kan Kut.
(iv) What was called Bhaoli ?
