The concept of renewable energy has gained significant attention in the recent years
as a way to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and combat climate change. Solar,
Wind, hydroelectric, geothermal and biomass are examples of renewable energy
sources. These sources are considered renewable because they can replenish naturally,
unlike fossil fuels, which take millions of years to form and are finite.

One of the main advantages of renewable energy is that it is environment friendly.
Renewable energy sources do not produce greenhouse gases, which contribute to
positive climate change. They also do not produce harmful air pollutants like Sulphur
dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

Another advantage of renewable energy is that it can provide reliable and stable
source of energy. For example, hydroelectric plants can operate for long period of
time without interaction and solar panels can generate electricity even on cloudy days.
Also, renewable energy sources are becoming more affordable as technology
improves and economies of scales are achieved.
