How to use this list
• Entrance exams. CLAT covers most National Law Universities, AILET is separate for NLU Delhi, and LSAT India plus
various state tests are accepted at other colleges.

• A rank is not a ranking of your experience. NIRF measures the institution as a whole, not the individual
specialisation. One ranked lower overall may still be stronger for the one you want.

• Participation is voluntary. A good institution missing here may simply not have submitted data. Absence is not
evidence of poor quality.

• Check the year. These are India Rankings 2025 figures, released September 2025. The 2026 edition is expected
later in 2026 and will supersede them.
