6.1 परिमाप
क्या आपको याद है कि एक संवत्तृ (बंद) समतल आकृ ति का परिमाप क्या होता है? आइए, हम
अपनी समझ को ताज़ा करें ।
किसी भी बंद समतल आकृ ति का परिमाप उसकी सीमा के साथ-साथ तय की गई वह दरू ी है
जब आप उसके चारों ओर एक चक्कर लगाते हैं। एक बहुभुज अर्थात् रे खाखंडों से बनी एक बंद
समतल आकृ ति के लिए परिमाप इसकी सभी भजु ाओ ं की लंबाइयों के योग के रूप में परिभाषित
किया जाता है, जैसे— इसकी बाहरी सीमा के साथ-साथ कुल दरू ी।
बहुभजु का परिमाप = उसकी सभी भजु ाओ ं की लंबाइयों का योगफल।
आइए, अब हम आयत, वर्ग और त्रिभजु के परिमाप के सूत्रों को दोहराते हैं।
आयत का परिमाप
एक आयत ABCD पर विचार कीजिए, जिसकी लंबाई और चौड़ाई क्रमशः 12 सेमी और 8 सेमी है।
इसका परिमाप क्या होगा?
आयत का परिमाप = आयत की चारों भजु ाओ ं की लंबाइयों का योगफल
= AB + BC + CD + DA
