याद कीणिए ग ित के अध यन में हमने सबसे पहले ो संख एँ सीखी वे ग न संख एँ 1, 2,
3, 4,... थीं।
उसके बाद हमने सीखा संख एँ और भी अ िक हैं। उदाहर के ए , संख 0, ो ‘कुछ
भी नहीं’ को ्ቚद शशित करती है और संख 1 से पहले आती है। भारत में और अब संपू श् में भी
नू का इ हास बहुत महत पू रहा है। उदाहर के ए, भारतीय संख प्ቍ में 0 से 9 तक के
10 अंकों का ्ቚयोग करके संख एँ खते हैं, यह संख प्ቍ बड़ी से बड़ी तथा छोटी से छोटी
संख एँ खना संभव बना देती है।
