Lesson Plan - 1 Subject: Physics Topic: Frictional Electricity Class: Grade 6 Sub – Topic: Electrification of Rubber Balloon Duration: 15 mins Aim:-  Students will gain an understanding of the forces at work during a thunderstorm using balloons to create static electricity, good example of electricity in the air  To demonstrate the positive and negative attraction Materials Required:- 1. Rubber balloons 2. Thread Procedure:-  Blow air in 3-4 balloons  Tie the mouths of two balloons with two threads of equal lengths  Tie the mouth of other two balloons without threads  Bring the balloons tied with thread close to each other (Observe result)  Balloons neither attract nor repel each other  Rub both the balloons once in dry hair and bring near each other and observe result (Discuss)  Rub other balloon (without thread) on dry hair 2-3 times and let free the balloon on hair. The balloon does not fall (Discuss)  Bring the rubbed balloon in contact to wall. The balloon does not fall (Discuss)
