6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each) with subparts of the value
of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
7. All questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 questions of 5 marks, 2 questions of 3
marks and 2 questions of 2 marks has been provided. An internal choice has been provided in the 2
marks questions of Section E.

28. Suman purchased 5kg 75g of fruits and 3kg 465g of vegetables, and put them in a bag. If
this bag with these contents weighs 9kg. find the weight of the empty bag.

30. In a village, there are 8 water tanks to collect rain water. On a particular day, x litres of rain
water is collected per tank. If 100 litres of water was already there in one of the tanks, then
what is the total amount of water in the tanks on that day?

Take Sarita’s present age be y years.
(i) What will be her age 5 years from now?
(ii) Sarita’s grandfather is 6 times her age. What is the age of her grandfather?

(iii) Sarita’s father’s age is 5 years more than 3 times Sarita’s age. What is her father’s age?
31. Draw a line segment of 12.8cm. Using compasses, divide it into four equal parts. Verify by
actual measurements.

Draw an angle of measure 135ᵒ and bisect it.

32. Find the smallest 4-digit number which is divisible by 18, 24 and 32.
OR
Four bells toll at intervals of 4, 7, 12 and 84 seconds. The bells toll together at 5 O’clock.
When will they again toll together? How many times they do it in 28 minutes?
33. A women worker earns Rs.18000 in 15 months.
(i) How much does she earn in 7 months?
(ii) In how many months will she earn Rs.30000?

Present age of father is 42 years and that of his son is 14 years. Find the ratio of
(i) Present age of father to the present age of son.
(ii) Age of the father to the age of son, when son was 12 years old.
(iii) Age of father after 10 years to the age of son after 10 years.
(iv) Age of father to the age of son when father was 30 years old.
(v) Present age of father to his age before 20 years.
34. On a squared paper, sketch the following:
(a) A triangle with a horizontal line of symmetry but no vertical line of symmetry.
(b) A quadrilateral with both horizontal and vertical lines of symmetry.
(c) A quadrilateral with a horizontal line of symmetry but no vertical line of symmetry.

35. Draw a circle with radius 4cm. Draw any two of its chords. Construct the perpendicular
bisectors of these chords. Where do they meet?
