26. The distance between the school and the house of a student is 1km 875 m. Everyday she walks
both the ways. Find the total distance covered by him in the month of July if the total no of
working days is 22.

27. Find all prime factors of 1729 and arrange them in ascending order. Now state the relation if
any; between two consecutive prime factors.

The sum of two consecutive odd numbers is divisible by 4.Verify this statement with the help
of three examples.

28. Draw a sketch of a Pentagon. Draw its diagonals. Name them. Is the meeting point of the
diagonals in the interior or exterior of the Pentagon?

29. Where will the hour hand of a clock stop if it starts:
(i) from 6 and turns through 1 right angle?
(ii) from 8 and turns through 2 right angles ?
(iii) from 10 and turns through 3 right angles?

Make two different triangles by making use of two different set-squares on paper. What are the
measures of the angles that are formed at their corners? Do you have any angle measure that
is common?

30. Total number of students of a school in different years is shown in the following table.

31. Mangoes are to be transferred from larger boxes into smaller boxes. When a large box is
emptied, the mangoes from it fill two smaller boxes and still 25 mangoes remain outside. If the
number of mangoes in a small box are taken to be m, what is the number of mangoes in the
larger box? Write all the statements of working.

32. Three brands Parle-G , McVitie’s and Cadbury OREO of biscuits are available in packets of
12,15 and 21 biscuits, respectively. If a shopkeeper wants to buy an equal number of biscuits of
each brand, what is the minimum number of packets of each brand he should buy ?

35. The number of sheets of paper available for making notebooks is 75000.Each sheet makes 8
pages of a notebook. Each notebook contains 300 pages. (a) How many notebooks can be
made from the paper available? (b) How much money will have to pay for two dozens
notebooks if each notebook costs Rs 25.

36. TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

A Group Housing society has 600 members,who have their houses in the campus and decided
to hold a Tree Plantation Drive on the occasion of New year.Each household was given the
choice of planting a sampling of its choice. The number of different types of saplings were:

After reading the above passage,answer the following Questions:
(i) What is the total number of fruit plants and flowering plants?
(ii) Find the excess number of Peepal trees than Neem trees.
OR
Find the total cost of saplings if each saplings costs Rs.35.
(iii) Find the total number of different types of saplings. [1+2+1]

37. ANNUAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION
During sports day celebration a 100m race was organised in a school sports meet. Time was
recorded with the help of stopwatch by Mr.Pramod. A table shown below describes the time in
which the race was finished by the number of students [1+2+1]

finished the race in one minute.

38. VISIT TO A ZOO:AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STUDY THE HABITS OF HUMAN
BEINGS

Teachers and students of class VI of a school had gone to Nandan Kannan for study tour.
After visiting different places of Nandan kannan, lastly visited Bird’s sanctuary and Deer park.
Anand is a clever boy and keen observer. He put the question to his friends “How many birds
are there and how many deer are there (at particular time) in Nandan kannan? Anand’s friend
Akash gave the correct answer as follows: ‘Akash answered that birds and deer had 60 and 80
legs respectively

(i) How many birds are there in the Zoo?
(ii) How many deer are there in the Zoo?

Find the total number of animals (birds and deer)
(iii) Find the excess of the number of birds over number of deer. [1+2+1]
