has 9 periods a day, assuming the number of school hours to be the same?

31. Plot each of the following points A(2,3),B(5,3),C(5,5)and D(2,5) on a graph sheet. Also find the area of
the quadrilateral ABCD formed.

SECTION –D

32. An altitude of triangle is five-thirds the length of its corresponding base. If the altitude were increased by
4cm and the base be decreased by 2cm, the area of the triangle would remain the same. Find the base and
the altitude of the triangle.
OR

There are 100 multiple choice question in a test , suppose you get 2 marks for every correct answer and
for every question you leave unattempted or answer wrongly, one mark is deducted from your total score
of correct answers. If you get 80 marks in the test then how many questions did you answer correctly?

33. Mohan invested Rs 50,000 at an interest rate of 10% per annum compounded half yearly. What amount
would he get
i) After 6 months?
ii) After 1 year ?

36. Reshma has bought a new plot .She wishes to construct a house in that area. She draws required
proportions of the following items such as Concrete, Bricks, Timber , Labour cost etc in a pie chart
representing their specific angles. From the given pie chart help her to find the expenditure.

i) What percentage of total expenditure is spent on labour ?
ii) What percentage of total expense is spent on bricks and steel ?
iii) If the total expenditure is estimated to be Rs. 11,00,000 , then how much money was spent on
timber?

If the total expenditure is estimated to be Rs. 11,00,000 , then how much money was spent on
Labour?

37. In the city of Jabalpur , water is supplied by municipal corporation in the city is done through pipes .
Iron pipes are of length 20 cm each with exterior diameter as 25 cm. The thickness of each pipe is 1 cm
. From the above situation find the following for the renovation of the city.

i) Find the internal surface area of the pipe.
ii) Find the external surface area of the pipe .
iii) Find the total surface area of the pipe.

Find the volume of the water inside the pipe.

38. Vinay is a manager in a bank . He looks after the deposits done by people. He has the task to calculate
the simple interests on the deposited money for year by different people . The table below shows the
