11. (C) The correct spelling is r-e-s-e-r-v-a-t-i-o-n.
12. (C) In the present perfect, the passive is have/has + been + past participle: 'have been booked'.
13. (B) 'News' is an uncountable noun that takes a singular verb: 'The news is...'.
Mathematical Aptitude
14. (A) 35% of 640 = 224 and 12% of 450 = 54; 224 - 54 = 170.
15. (D) After the service charge: 2,400 x 1.10 = Rs 2,640. After the 5% discount: 2,640 x 0.95 = Rs 2,508.
16. (C) Sugar = 750 x 2/5 = 300 g.
17. (B) Speed = 150 / 2.5 = 60 km/h.
18. (C) Total work = 8 x 6 = 48 staff-hours. Time for 12 staff = 48 / 12 = 4 hours.
19. (D) Cost price = 690 / 1.15 = Rs 600. (Rs 586.50 wrongly takes 15% off the selling price.)
20. (A) Sum of 7 ages = 7 x 22 = 154. Sum of 6 trainees = 6 x 20 = 120. Instructor = 154 - 120 = 34 years.
21. (C) Amount = P(1 + 3 x 10/100) = 1.3P = 7,800, so P = Rs 6,000. (Rs 5,850 wrongly subtracts 25% of 7,800.)
22. (C) New sales = 1.20 x 0.90 = 1.08 times the old sales, an increase of 8%.
23. (A) Volume = πr²h = 22/7 x 3.5 x 3.5 x 4 = 154 cubic metres, and 1 cubic metre = 1 kilolitre, so 154 kL.
24. (B) The required length is the HCF of 84, 126 and 210. 84 = 2² x 3 x 7, 126 = 2 x 3² x 7, 210 = 2 x 3 x 5 x 7, so HCF
= 2 x 3 x 7 = 42 m.
25. (B) Paneer per person = 300 / 4 = 75 g. For 14 people: 14 x 75 = 1,050 g = 1.05 kg.
Test of Reasoning
26. (B) The differences are 1, 4, 9 and 16, the squares of 1, 2, 3 and 4. The next difference is 25, so 32 + 25 = 57.
27. (D) The letters move back by 5, 4, 3 and then 2 places: Z(26), U(21), Q(17), N(14), L(12).

8.
31. (C) Ravi is a man, so the only son of Ravi's mother is Ravi himself. The woman is Ravi's wife.

costly thing is printed, so II does not follow.
