पहला द ृ्ብ
( राजा का दरबार। दरबारी अपने-अपने आसन पर बैठे हैं। राजा और तेनालीरामन के
आसन अभी खाली हैं।)
पहला दरबारी - देखा! अब तक नहीं आए तेनालीरामन।
दूसरा दरबारी - भला क्यों आएँगे? जब सव ं महाराज उनकी मटु ् ठी में हैं
तो े हम जैसों को क्यों पछ
ू ें गे?
तीसरा दरबारी - महाराज ने भी बहुत स र चढ ा है तेनाली को!
चौथा दरबारी - (राजा की नकल करता है) हाँ तेनाली! ाह
तेनाली! क पते की बात कही तेनाली ने...
तेनाली, तेनाली, तेनाली! कान पक गए हैं
्ቚशसं ा सनु ते-सनु ते।
पहला दरबारी - महाराज के स र से तेनाली का भत ू उतारना होगा।
दूसरा दरबारी - तनी बार ्ቚ त ा। तेनाली की चतरु ाई के
आगे एक नहीं चली।
