FASHION DESIGNING PAPER 2 (PRACTICAL) (Maximum Marks: 30) (Time allowed: Three hours) (Candidates are allowed additional 15 minutes for only reading the paper. Attempt Question 2 and Question 3, selecting one of the two given options, in each question. The intended marks for questions or parts of questions are given in brackets [ ]. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 1 (i) Prepare a design for a scarf on the white cotton fabric (12"  12") provided, using any [1] two techniques of Tie and Dye, with a single colour. (ii) Write the procedure of dyeing the sample. Mention the techniques used. [3] (iii) Tie and dye the given fabric following the procedure written by you. [5] (iv) Iron and submit the finished sample to the Visiting Examiner. [1] Question 2 Attempt any one of the following: (i) Laundering: (a) Launder the synthetic shirt / top following the appropriate procedure. Give [3] finishing to the shirt and leave it for drying. (b) Iron and show the laundered shirt / top to the Visiting Examiner. [2] OR (ii) Repair work: (a) Write the procedure for repairing a tear in the given cloth by darning, depending [2] on the size of the tear. (b) Repair the given cloth by darning. [2] (c) Iron and show the repaired cloth to the Visiting Examiner. Question 3 Attempt any one of the following: (i) (a) Plan and prepare a design for a wall hanging. [1] (b) Print the planned design on the cloth provided, using vegetables. [4] Show the finished sample to the Visiting Examiner. OR (ii) (a) Prepare a suitable design for a belt with any two macramé knots using the given [2] cords. (b) Prepare the sample of 2·5 inches in length and 1 inch in width. [3] Show the finished sample to the Visiting Examiner.
