Read the passage below and answer the following questions:
Females.have a pair of ovaries located in the abdomen. Ovary is the
primary female sex organ which produces one ovum during each men-
strual cycle. In addition, ovary also produces two groups of steroid hor-
mones called estrogen and proge$terone. Ovary is composed of
ovarian follicles and stromal tissues. The estrogen is synthesized arid
secreted mainly by the growing ovarian follicle. After evaluation the
ruptured follicle is converted to a structure called corpus lu~eum which
secretes mainly progesterone. . ,;L, _
r Estrogen causes wide ranging actions such as ~timuiation of growth I (' '
and activities of female secondary sex organs, develo~ment of growing
ovarian follicles, appearance .of female secondary sex characteristics

Progesterone supports pregancy. Progesterone also act on teh mam-
mary gland and stim~lates the formation of alveoli (Sac like
