Read the following paragraph answer the questions given below./ निम्नलिखित पैराग्राफ को पढ़ें और
नीचे दिए गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर दें ।

19.1- The city is divided into different wards and ward councillors get elected.
The complicated decisions that affect the entire city are taken by groups of
councillors who form committees to decide and debate issues. It is these committees
for water, garbage collection, street lighting etc. that decide on the work to be done.
When the problems are within a ward then the people who live in the ward can
contact their councillors. While the Councillor’s Committees and the councillors
decide on issues, the Commissioner and the administrative staff implement these.
The Commissioner and the administrative staff are appointed. Councillors are
elected. The Ward Councillors meet and they make a budget and the money is spent
according to this. The Ward Councillors try and ensure that the particular demands
of their wards are placed before the entire council. These decisions are then

implemented by the administrative staff.

करती हैं। जब समस्याएं वार्ड के भीतर हों तो वार्ड में रहने वाले लोग अपने पार्षदों से संपर्क कर सकते
हैं। जबकि पार्षदों की समितियाँ और पार्षद मद्
ु दों पर निर्णय लेते हैं, आयक्
ु त और प्रशासनिक कर्मचारी
इन्हें लागू करते हैं। आयक्
ु त एवं प्रशासनिक अमले की नियक्ति
ु की जाती है । पार्षद चन
ु े जाते हैं. वार्ड
पार्षद बैठक कर बजट बनाते हैं और उसी के अनरू
ु प पैसा खर्च किया जाता है . वार्ड पार्षद यह

ु श्चित करने का प्रयास करते हैं कि उनके वार्डों की विशेष मांगों को परू ी परिषद के समक्ष रखा
जाए। फिर इन निर्णयों को प्रशासनिक कर्मचारियों द्वारा कार्यान्वित किया जाता है ।
