Agronomy
General: Fundamental of Agronomy, tillage, crop density and geometry, sowing of different crops.
Plant ideotype, growth and development of crops, crop rotation, crop management technologies in
problematic areas. Essential plant nutrients and their deficiency symptoms, concept of essentiality of
plant nutrients, manures and fertilizers, principles and methods of fertilizer application, integrated
nutrient management.
Field crops: Origin, distribution, economic importance, soil and climatic requirement, varieties,
