Read the following passage :

A bedtime story is a traditional form of storytelling, where a story is told

to a child at bedtime to prepare the child for sleep. The bedtime story has

long been considered "a definite institution in many families".

Reading bedtime stories yields multiple benefits for parents and children

alike. The fixed routine of a bedtime story benefits the child by improving

the child’s brain development, language mastery, and logical thinking skills.

The storyteller-listener relationship creates an emotional bond between the

parent and the child. Due to "the strength of the imitative instinct" of a child,

the parent and the stories that they tell act as a model for the child to follow.

Bedtime stories are also useful for teaching the child abstract virtues such

as sympathy, selflessness, and self-control, as most children are said to be

"naturally sympathetic when they have experienced or can imagine the

feelings of others". Thus, bedtime stories can be used to discuss darker

subjects such as death and racism. As the bedtime stories broaden in theme,

the child "will broaden in their conception of the lives and feelings of others".

For adults, however, bedtime stories serve a different purpose. According to

Dr. Christine Won, associate professor of medicine at Yale School of Medicine

and the medical director of Yale Centre for Sleep Medicine, ‘‘A bedtime story

works by detracting the mind from self-sabotaging thoughts and worries,

which allows the body’s adrenaline to come down so the brain can transition

Seaweeds, the primitive, marine non-flowering algae are medium-sized algae

that grows along the seashores. Most come in colours like red, green, brown,

and black, and randomly wash up on beaches and shorelines. Seaweeds are

generally anchored to the sea bottom or other solid structures by rootlike

"holdfasts," which perform the sole function of attachment and do not extract

nutrients as do the roots of higher plants. Some types of seaweeds are

microscopic, such as the phytoplankton that live suspended in the water
column and provide the base for most marine food chains. And some types
are enormous, like the giant kelp that grow in abundant "forests" and tower
like underwater redwoods from their roots at the bottom of the sea.

Several seaweed species are edible and used for human consumption. They
are full of vitamins, minerals, and fibre, and can be tasty. The Japanese use
the nori seaweed to make sushi rolls. Alternatively, many are also used
commercially in manufacturing. For instance, seaweeds are used as fertilizers
or as sources of polysaccharides. They are also used as effective binding
agents in such commercial goods as toothpaste and fruit jelly, and popular

Read the following article carefully :

The most characteristic feature of spiders is their ability to produce silk

threads. Spiders normally have six finger-shaped silk glands, called

spinnerets, located under their abdomen. To spin a web, the spider draws

silk from its body through two small holes. Liquid silk is thicker than

water and dries into a fine thread as soon as it comes into contact with

air. Spider silk is much stronger than steel and resists breaking due to

its elasticity. It can stretch up to 140 percent of its original length. The

diameter of these silk threads is about 10,000 of an inch. Spiders use

this silk to make webs to catch their prey. The egg sacs of some spiders

are also made of silk which pretreats the unborn progeny. Sometimes the

spider may also use its silk as a security measure. A certain species

of spider ‘phidippus apacheanecs’ drags a safety line of fine silk

while jumping. He uses the silk line to recover if he misses his target.

‘Naphils Spider’ silk is the strongest natural fiber known.

The spinning of spider webs is a remarkable example of instinctive behaviour.

A spider does not have to learn how to make a web, although spinning can

be adapted to unique circumstances. For ezample, ‘orb’ networks are circular

in shape and take an hour to build. Funnel spiders weave a web-like entrance

to their homes, which helps catch food. Similarly, trapdoor spiders dig their

homes and spin a trapdoor with their silk to catch insects. As integral

components of our biosphere, spiders have intrinsic existence value. They are
efficient predators that play an important role in controlling cotton pests. They
are also a food source for other creatures, such as birds and wasps. Therefore,
the presence of spiders is an ecological indicator that indicates the health of

Papaya is the healthiest fruit with a list of properties that is long and

exhaustive. Papaya favours digestion as well as cures skin irritation and sun

burns. You can munch on it as a salad, have it cooked or boiled or just drink

it up as milkshake or juice. The most important of these virtues is the

protein-digesting enzyme in the milky juice or latex, The enzyme is similar

materials. Papain in raw papaya makes up for the deficiency of gastric juice

The juice of the papaya seeds also assists in the above-mentioned ailments.

The juice, used as a cosmetic, removes freckles or brown spots due to exposure

to sunlight and makes the skin smooth and delicate. A paste of papaya seeds

is applied in skin diseases like those caused by ringworm. The black seeds

of the papaya are highly beneficial in the treatment of cirrhosis of the liver

caused by alcoholism, malnutrition, etc.

A tablespoonful of its juice, combined with a hint of fresh lime juice, should

be consumed once or twice daily for a month. The fresh juice of raw papaya

mixed with honey can be applied over inflamed tonsils, for diphtheria and
