10. THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
Common Entrance test will be conducted on 23/07/2023 from 10.30A.M. to 12.30 P.M.
The single booklet will contain questions as per the details given below:

Note:
• Paper shall consist of 100 multiple choice questions and be of a total of 100
marks as explained above.
• Q.No.1-60 will be in English, Hindi and Punjabi medium only.
• Q.No.61-80 will be of compulsory English only

• Q.No.81-100 will be of Hindi language only.
• Q.No .101-120 will be of Punjabi language only.
Part A, B, C & D are compulsory consisting of 20 marks each. Part E is
candidate shall carefully fill (darken the correct bubble corresponding to
the opted language i.e. Hindi or Punjabi) in the OMR sheet. Part E
consist is of 20 marks.

Part A : General Awareness Test: 20 Marks

Current Events (Political, Social & Economic)
Government Policy of Education
Who’s Who
Part B : Teaching Potential : 20 Marks
Questions will be related to various dimensions of Teaching Potential such as:
Knowledge of Teaching Learning Process of Educational System including non-
formal and distance education. Audio- Visual Aids and Mass Media etc.
Values as enshrined in the Constitution of lndia
General Awareness of National Level Educational agencies and
organization of Social, Political, Economic and Cultural Agendas.
Aptitude for Teaching Profession; Teacher’s personal characteristics
and their adjustments.
Class room problems of learners and their solutions.
Adjustment problems of human relations with students, colleges and
administration.
Examination, evaluation and assessment.
Library Usage.
School and Society.
Part C: General Mental Ability Test : 20Marks
Questions will be designed to test reasoning with Numbers, Words and
Figures involving:

Analogies
Synonyms or opposites
Code, De-code

Interpretation of Graphs & Figures
Evaluation and Inference
Blood Relations.
Part D : English: 20 Marks
In the language papers, questions will be related to:
Grammar
Idioms and Vocabulary
Correction and Punctuation
Written Comprehension
Part-E : Punjabi OR Hindi : 20 Marks
Those candidates who have studied Punjabi in matriculation will appear in
Punjabi. Others who have not studied Punjabi in Matriculation shall have to
appear in Hindi. In each of these language papers, questions will be related
to:
Grammar
Idioms and Vocabulary
Correction and Punctuation
Written Comprehension
11. EXAMINATION RELATED INSTRUCTIONS:
I. The result of the Common Entrance Test (CET) shall, ipso facto, not entitle a
candidate to get admission in an institution/ department/ centre concerned
where he/she intends to seek admission. It will be the responsibility of the
candidate to make sure about his/her eligibility and fulfillment of such other
conditions as may be prescribed for admission in the rules and regulations of
University / Institution concerned. Merely because a candidate is allowed to
appear in the Common Entrance Test (CET) does not mean that he/she is
eligible and his/ her appearance therein will not stop or debar the
university/ institution concerned from satisfying itself about his/her
eligibility at any subsequent stage.
II. Notwithstanding anything contained in this booklet, the eligibility
conditions for admission to the B.Ed. Course shall be governed by the
Regulations / rules as enshrined in the Calendar of the Panjab University,
Chandigarh. Instructions / Notifications issued by the Chandigarh
Administration and N.C.T.E. (National Council for Teacher Education), will
be applicable.
III. The Common Entrance Test (CET) will be held on 23/07/2023 from 10.30
a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
IV. There will be one paper of 100 marks and paper contains five parts (Part A to
Part E).
V. Part A, B, C & D are compulsory consisting of 20 marks each. Part E is
