carrying 2 marks each. Answer to each question should not exceed 30 words.
 Question Nos. 22-24 in Section C are short answer type-II questions carrying 3
marks each. Answer to each question should not exceed 60 words.
 Question Nos. 25-28 in Section D are long answer type - I questions carrying 4
marks each. Answer to each question should not exceed 120 words.
 Question Nos. 29-30 in Section E are long answer type - II questions carrying 6
marks each. Answer to each question should not exceed 200 words.
 Question Nos. 31 – 34 in Section F are based on two cases given. Answer to
each 1 mark question should not exceed 20 words. Answer to each 2 marks
question should not exceed 30 words.

Read the following passage and answer question numbers 31 and 32.
Case Study 1
The Fire Control Department received a call that fire has swept through a house. It started with the
explosion of gas cylinder used for cooking. Suman, a student of class VIII got injured and was
admitted to the hospital. While talking to a press reporter, she expressed that her mother was in
the kitchen when this accident occurred. The cylinder burst with a loud sound and the fire spread
with great speed. The exit door also caught fire. Her mother shouted in panic as if she has lost all
hope and fainted in the kitchen. Suman was determined to save her mother. She said ‘I don’t know
how I got the energy to drag my mother alone to the room. I broke the window there and jumped
out. My back was hurt but without wasting time, I sought the help from my neighbour and rescued
my mother. I am happy that we both are safe’. Hearing this story, the reporter was impressed with
her bravery, quick decision making and sound judgment .

Read the following passage and answer question numbers 32 and 33.
Mohsin, a 6-year-old boy has difficulty in feeding and dressing himself, but training from his
parents has helped him to be a little independent. He faces trouble making friends outside his
family and has difficulty in dealing with people in social situations. His parents are always worried
about him and are aware that he needs consistent level of supervision for daily tasks. Mohsin’s
peers finds it difficult to understand what he says as he lags behind in communication and
language skills.
The school psychologist, special educators and teachers are focused upon engaging his family in
meaningful future planning using a variety of resources as well as strategies which included
information sharing , training sessions and supportive counselling .
