Lesson 2: Constants, Variables and Data Types Introduction, Identifiers, Keywords, Constants , Variables, Delimiters, Data types, Type modifier or Qualifiers, The void Data type or empty data type. Lesson3: Operators and Expressions Introduction, Operators. Lesson 4 Control and Expressions Introduction, Conditional control structures (Decision Making Statement), Multi way conditional (case) control structures, Jumping (branching) Control structures, Loop (Iterative) control structures. Lesson 5 Arrays Introduction, Declaration of an array, Initializing arrays, Accessing array Elements, Entering Data into an Array, Manipulation of array element, Types of arrays. Lesson 6: String Handling Functions Introduction, Declaration and Initializing String Variables, Reading and writing String, Reading strings using scanf() function, Arithmetic operations on characters, STRING Functions. Lesson 7: User defined Function Introduction, What is a function, Need of functions, Defining Function, Structure/form of a function, Arguments and Parameters, Using a function in Program. Lesson 8: Internet & E-Governance

Introduction, Applications of Internet, History of Internet, Facilities of Internet, Search Engine, Internet Explorer, E-Mail, Computer Virus, Online Railways and Air Ticketing. PRACTICAL Time: 2 hrs Marks: 35 EVALUATION SCHEME FOR PRACTICAL 1. Programming in C There will be 5 questions / Program will be set from which candidate has to attempt any Four program/ Questions. Each Program or Question will be of 5 marks. Marks for the programming are to be given on the basis of program documentation / indentation, algorithm and result (output) . 5 × 4=20 Marks 2. Viva-Voce 10 Marks 3. Practical record file: 5 Marks Record of at least 20 programs in C (with listing and Outputs) based on programming concepts and on data base concepts. SYLLABUS: All the relevant practical exercise will be based upon the relevant chapters mentioned in the Theory Syllabus.
