Answer (for option A):
(i) Identify Rights Violated
1) Right to Equality: Girls are denied equal use of the playground.
2) Right to Freedom: Latha's and others' freedom to express their concerns is discouraged.
(ii) Explanation
1) Denying girls access to the playground violates equal access to public places stated under Right to
Equality.
2) Not allowing students to question unfair decisions goes against their Right to Freedom of Speech.
3) Stereotyping girls as only good in indoor games limits their freedom of choice and participation,
indirectly affecting their development.
(iii) Suggestions
1. Ensure a school rule for equal rotation of access to playgrounds. Form a class committee with equal
representation of boys and girls to make fair decisions on shared activities like use of the playground.
2. Conduct classroom discussions on Fundamental Rights and gender equality with teacher guidance.
