ऐसा लगता है कि बाह्य दौड़-पथोों के धावक आतं रिक दौड़-पथोों के धावकोों से आगे से आरंभ कर
रहे हैैं जबकि समापन रे खा सबके लिए एक ही है। इसका क््यया कारण हो सकता है? आसन््न दौड़-पथोों
की आरं भिक रे खाओ ं मेें अतं र को ‘सांतरण’ (स््टटैगर) कहते हैैं। ध््ययान दीजिए कि सांतरण की प्रक्रिया
बाह्यतम दौड़-पथ तक चलतीरहती है। क््यया आप विचार कर सकते हैैं कि सांतरण किसी धावक (बाह्य
दौड़-पथ या आतं रिक दौड़-पथ के धावकोों को) को अनचु ित लाभ देता है? ऐसा क््योों अथवा क््योों
नहीीं है? आयोजक किस आधार पर दौड़-पथोों के मध््य सांतरण का माप तय कर सकते हैैं?
सोचिए और विचार कीजिए
मेरे विद्यालय मेें खेल का मैदान 400 मीटर दौड़-पथ के लिए बहुत छोटा है इसलिए वहाँ 200 मीटर
का दौड़-पथ बनाया गया। क््यया इसका अर््थ यह है कि हमारे विद्यालय मेें समान 4 × 100 मीटर रिले
दौड़ के लिए हमेें छोटे सांतरण वाले (अर््थथात ओलंपिक मेें उपयोग किए जाने वाले सांतरण से छोटे)
दौड़-पथोों की आवश््यकता है?
4 × 100 मीटर धावक दौड़-पथ के लिए आवश््यक दौड़-पथ सांतरण के संबंध मेें प्रश्न हल करने
लिए हमेें यह जानना होगा कि एक वृत्त के चारोों ओर की लंबाई कै से ज्ञात करेें।
