STRUCTURE OF QUESTION PAPER (THEORY)
1. The question paper will cover whole of the syllabus.
2. There are 3sections in the question paper i.e. Section A, Section B, and Section C.
Section A is compulsory for all the students and students may choose only one
section from Section B and Section C. Section A, Section Band Section C will be
set from the Part-I and Part-II and Part-Ill of the syllabus respectively.
3. 20 Questions will be set in the question paper.
4. All units of the syllabus should be given adequate representation in the question paper.
5. There is noword, line or page limit for numerical questions.
6. The use of non-programmable simple calculator is allowed.

SECTION-A
7. Question No. Iconsists of 12 sub parts () to (xi) carrying 1mark each. Objective
type questions may include multiple choice type questions/questions with one word
or one sentence/fill inthe blanks (with two options regarding fillups). Answers to
questions with one wordor one sentence should be given in 1-15 words.
8. Question No. 2 to 10 (Out of which 4 will be the theoretical and 5will be
numerical) willcarry 2 marks each. Answer of theoretical question should be given
in 2-5 lines.
9. Question No. 11 consists of5 sub parts (i, ii, ii, iv, v) out of which 3 will be
numerical and 2 will be theoretical (Atempt any four questions out of five) Each
question willcarry 4 marks. Answer of theoretical question should be given in 10-15
lines.
SECTION-B and C

10. Question No. 12 consists of 8 sub parts (i)) to (viii) carrying 1 mark each.
Objective type questions may include multiple choice type questions/questions with
one word or one sentence/fill in the blanks (with two options regarding fill ups).
Answers to questions with one word or one sentence should be given in 1-15 words.
11. Question No. 13 to 19 (Out of which 3will be the theoretical and 4 will be
numerical) will carry 2 marks each. Answer of theoretical question should be given
in 2-5 lines.
12. Question No. 20 consists of 4 sub parts (i, ii, iii, iv) out of which 2 will be
numerical and 2 theoretical (Attempt any three questions out of four). Each question
will carry 4 marks. Answer of theoretical question should be given in 10-15 lines.

ਭਾਗ - II ਇਸ ਭਾਗ ਮਵੱ ਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਨੰਬਰ੍ 5 ਤੋਂ 20 ਤੱ ਕ ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਅੰ ਕਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੋਲਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ੱ ਛੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ । ਹਰ੍ੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ
ਦਾ ਉੱਤਰ੍ ਲਗਭਗ ਇੱ ਕ-ਦੋ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ । ਇਹ ਸਾਰ੍ੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੱ ਲ ਕਰ੍ਨੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਿੀ ਹਨ ।

ਭਾਗ - III ਇਸ ਭਾਗ ਮਵੱ ਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਨੰਬਰ੍ 21 ਤੋਂ 24 ਤੱ ਕ ਪ੍ੰ ਜ-ਪ੍ੰ ਜ ਅੰ ਕਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਚਾਰ੍ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ੱ ਛੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ । ਹਰ੍ੇਕ
ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਰ੍ ਲਗਭਗ ਪ੍ੰ ਜ-ਛੇ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ । ਇਨਹਾਂ ਸਾਰ੍ੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਮਵੱ ਚ 100% ਅੰ ਦਰ੍ੂਨੀ ਛੋਟ
ਹੋਵੇਗੀ । ਅੰ ਦਰ੍ੂਨੀ ਛੋਟ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਉਸੇ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਮਵੱ ਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ।

Instructions to the paper setter
1. Question paper will consist of four sections A, B, C and D with total of 19 questions.
2. Section-A will contain question number 1 having 20 parts of 1 mark each. 12

2. Question no. 1 will have 20 sub parts and each part will carry 1 mark. All
questions are compulsory. This question will be of multiple choice,
numerical, true false and comprehensive.

3. Question no. 2 to 15 will be of two marks each. There will be internal choice
in Four questions. All questions are compulsory.
4. Question no.16 to 19 will be of three marks each. There will be internal
choice in two questions. All questions are compulsory.
5. Question no.20 to 21 will be of five marks each. There will be internal choice
in them.
6. Questions paper should cover all the syllabus.
7. No question or topic should be repeated in the question paper.
8. Questions in the paper can be asked only from mentioned PSEB syllabus.
Questions from any topic which is not mentioned in the syllabus will be
considered as out of syllabus question.
9. All sets must be of equal standard and difficulty level questions.

Section-III

100 to 150 words. All the five units of syllabus shall be covered in
this section, choosing one pair from first two units and one pair

Map based question:
This question comprises of two parts of map work carrying 5

STRUCTURE OF QUESTION PAPER (THEORY)

1. There will be one theory paper comprising of 18 questions.
2. Question No 1 will be carrying 20 objective type questions of 1 mark each.
In objective type questions there will be 15 multiple choice questions and 5
questions will be of true/false statement. All these 20 objective type
questions will be knowledge based and understanding based not application
based.
3. Question number 2 to 8 (Total 7 questions) will be carrying 2 marks each.
There will be three questions of internal choice from unit-I, unit-II and unit-
VII. Each one will have one theory type question and one numerical type in
choice.
4. Question number 9 to 15 (Total 7 questions) will be carrying 3 marks each.
There will be three questions of internal choice from unit-III, unit-IV and unit-
VI. Each one will have one theory type question and one numerical type in
choice.
5. Q.No. 16 will be of comprehension type having 5 questions of 1 mark each. This
comprehension paragraph will be taken from Unit-III (Magnetic Effects of Current and
Magnetism) 12th Class Physics Text-books of Punjab School Education Board.
6. Question number 17 and 18 will be carrying 5 marks each and there will be
internal choice of each of all these questions. From unit-VI (Optics) internal
choice question will have one question from ray-optics and choice question
from wave-optics. 5 marks question may be asked in parts.
