बहुत समय पहिे की बात है। उ्ቈर भारत के एक सदंु र सरोवर में तीन मछल याँ
रहती थीं िनमें गाढ़ी ्ቔता थी। तीनों मछल याँ सरोवर की अन मछल यों के
साथ ि- ि ु कर नोद और सैर करती रहती थीं। इनमें से पहिी मछिी का
नाम था अनागत धाता। वह बहुत बु धिमती थी और अपने नाम के अनसु ार
भ ष की सभं ा त समस ओ ं का हि पहिे से ही कािकर रखती थी।
दसू री मछिी का नाम था ्ቚत त न म । सै ा उसका नाम था वैसी ही तीक््ቚ
और ती्ብ उसकी बु धि थी। वह भ ष की सी भी आशं त समस का
पहिे से समाधान करने की आवश् कता नहीं समझती थी क ों उसकी
सझू -बझू इतनी पैनी थी वह समय पड़ने पर सी भी उिझन का हि
� भर में काि िेती थी। तीसरी मछिी का नाम था यदभ् ष । अपने
नाम के अ ्थ को वह भी सा क ्थ करती थी। वह सी भी सक ं ट की सभं ावना
पर ध न नहीं देती थी तथा ्ቦम और ितं न से ब ती थी। उसका मत था
यत करने और सो ने- ारने से कोई िाभ नहीं क ों ‘ ो होना होगा
सो तो होगा ही’ इसल ए सब कुछ भाग के भरोसे छो देना ा ए और
तं होकर आनदं से रहना ा ए।
