था। निशा े पसु कों में अजतं ा, एलोरा के बारे में पढ़ा था। तभी से उसके म में उत कता
थी ये गफ ु ाएँ ख
े े में कै सी होंगी।
शहरे की छु ट्टयाँ आइ� तो उ का अजंता और एलोरा जा े का का ्य्ቅम ब
गया। रे लगाड़ी में आर�ण छ्ቔप सभं ाजी गर तक था। सभं ाजी गर महाराष्् राज का
एक गर है। संभाजी गर पहुचँ ते-पहुचँ ते रात हो गई। निशा और मौसी े स श पर ही
श् मगहृ में रात ताई। सू रे ि बड़े सवेरे ही उठकर वे बस से अजतं ा की ओर चल
ीं। वहाँ से अजंता लगभग सौ लोमीटर रू है।
अजंता पहुचँ कर जो दृश निशा े ख े ा, वह बड़ा ही म ोरम था। एक ओर
छोटी-सी ी बह रही थी। ी में बड़े-बड़े लाखडं पड़े थे। ी के ण में एक
पहाड़ी पर एक पं क्त में उ तीस गफ ु ाएँ थीं। इ गफ ु ाओ ं का महँु पू िशा की ओर हो े
के कारण प् तःकाल के सू ्य की रणें इ पर पड़ रही थीं। गफ ु ा के ठीक ीचे एक कंु ड
ब ा था समें पा ी भरा हुआ था। घाटी में रंग- रंगे फूल ले हुए थे।
