No. 19/1/2020-C-1/1 STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION CONFIDENTIAL-I/I *** Subject: Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2020– Declaration of result of Paper-I for shortlisting of candidates for appearing in Paper-II (Descriptive Paper). Staff Selection Commission conducted Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2020 (Paper-I) in the Computer Based Mode from 22.03.2021 to 24.03.2021 at various centres all over the country. 2. Representations received from the candidates against the Tentative Answer Keys have been carefully examined and the Answer Keys have been modified wherever necessary. The modified Answer Keys have been used for evaluation. 3. As Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) of the said examination was conducted in multiple shifts; marks scored by candidates have been normalized as per the formula published by the Commission on its website on 07.02.2019. As per the provisions under Para-12.7 of the Notice of the Examination, normalised marks of the candidates have been used for processing the result to qualify the candidates for the next stage of Examination (i.e. Paper-II). 4. In terms of Para-17.1 of Notice of the Examination, minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I have been fixed as 30% (i.e. 60 marks) for UR, 25% (i.e. 50 marks) for OBC & EWS and 20% (i.e. 40 marks) for all other categories. 5. Keeping the above in view, category-wise cut-off details and number of candidates qualifying to appear in Paper-II (Descriptive) of the Examination are as follows: I. Shortlisted candidates may visit website of the Commission regularly, for further updates. 7. The Final Answer Keys will be uploaded on the website of the Commission on 07.07.2021 for a period of one month. 8. Marks of the qualified/non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on 10.07.2021 on the website of the Commission.
