I am sometimes asked whether I am religious, and I find it
difficult to give an answer. My answer is it depends on what you
mean by religion. If you mean ritual or repetition of something
that you accept merely because great people have said it before
you, then perhaps I am not religious. But I think true religion is
a search for truth. It is searching for what is the best within
yourself and trying to make it better. Swami Vivekananda said
of education that it is not what a man knows but what he
becomes, what he is, that is what education has to achieve.
