El fin de semana pasada fui a Madrid a ver a mis tíos y primos. El viernes
por la mañana fui al parque del Retiro a dar un paseo. Fui con mi tía y
pasamos un rato muy agradable. Por la tarde fui al Museo del Prado con mi
prima a ver cuadros famosos de pintores como Goya y Velázquez. Más tarde
fuimos al Palacio Real a visitar la residencia oficial del Rey y nos impresionó
mucho su grandeza. Después de cenar fuimos a una discoteca a conocer la
famosa vida nocturna madrileña y bailamos hasta muy tarde.
El sábado dedicamos la mañana a pasear por la Gran Vía y hacer algunas
compras en sus tiendas. También probamos tapas típicas en un bar muy
tradicional. Por la tarde visitamos la Puerta del Sol y la Plaza Mayor, donde
tomamos fotos y disfrutamos del ambiente madrileño. El domingo fuimos al
rastro a comprar recuerdos.

In Spain, many people like to spend time in the main square of the city,
called the Plaza Mayor. It is a place full of life, with restaurants, shops, and
street musicians. Families go there to walk, friends meet to talk, and tourists
take photos.
In the afternoon, it is common to drink a coffee or eat some tapas while
watching the people. At night, the Plaza Mayor is even more beautiful with
all the lights. Sometimes there are concerts, festivals, and traditional
celebrations. During Christmas, the square is decorated with lights and a

market where you can buy sweets and gifts.
The Plaza Mayor is not only a meeting place but also a part of Spanish
history and culture. Many important events have happened there over the
