Q 1 Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions given below:
It happened in Nagpur. Late one evening, a taxi driver brought his taxi to a halt

at its stand. As he slipped out of his driver’s seat, something caught his eye.
On the back seat, there was a parcel, neatly wrapped in brown paper. Taking

it out, the driver discovered that it was a photo album. Someone must have
forgotten it there. The
album carried no name or address. But, from the first page to the last, it bore
photographs of mountains and mountaineers. The driver was an intelligent
man. He suddenly remembered that two men who had hired his taxi that
afternoon, were talking about nothing but mountains. With a little effort, he
even recalled the house he had picked them up from.
The album stayed with the taxi driver for that one night. Next morning, amidst
warm thanks and handshakes, it was restored to its grateful owners.

Kolkata situated on the banks of the Hoogly river, is the capital of West
Bengal. The Hoogly river serves as the link of the city to the sea. The Howrah
bridge is built on river Hoogly.
Kolkata enjoys moderate climate – warm, humid summer, with heavy rains
during monsoons. Many areas get flooded during this period.
Kolkata is an important industrial center famous for Jute, Textiles, Silk,
Chemicals, Rubber and paper industries.
The city has unique transportation system comprising of the under- ground
railway system known as the Metro and the train network besides buses, taxis
and rickshaws.
