apostles will betray him. Its handling of space, mastery of perspective, treatment of motion and
complex display of human emotion has made it one of the Western world's most recognizable

2. The Starry Night is an oil-on-canvas painting painted by the Dutch Post
Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh, in June 1889, it depicts the view from the east-facing
window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just before sunrise, with the addition
of an imaginary village. It has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern
Art in New York City since 1941, The Starry Night is one of the most recognized paintings in
Western art.

3.Sunflower

Van Gogh’s paintings of sunflower are among his most famous. He did them in Arles, in the
south of France, in 1888 and 1889. Vincent painted a total of five canvases with sunflower in

vase, with three shades of yellow and nothing else. In this way, he demonstrated that it was
possible to create an image with numerous variations of single colour, without any loss of
eloquence.
