For given questions, from Q. No. 5 to Q. No 6, two statements are given - one labelled as Assertion
(A) and the other is labelled Reason (R). Select the correct answers to this question from the codes
(A), (B), (C) and (D) as given below:
(A) Both A and R are true and R is the correct explanation of the assertion.
(B) Both A and R are true but R is not the correct explanation of the assertion.
(C) A is true but R is false.
(D) A is false but R is also false.
5. Assertion (A): The method of dimensional analysis cannot validate the exact relationship between 1
physical quantities having same dimension.
Reason (R): It does not distinguish between the physical quantities having same dimensions.
6. Assertion (A):For a particle in one-dimensional motion, a positive value of acceleration does 1
not necessarily mean the particle is speeding up.
Reason (R): Speeding up occurs only when the acceleration is in the same direction as the
velocity.
