34) The text describes the Pharaohs of Egypt who intensely hated the Children of Israel, and a very tyrannical
king came to the throne who did not see them as descendants of prophets or from the house of the honorable King
Joseph, but rather as subhuman beings undeserving of mercy and fairness. (1)
This paragraph is from the non-retail that is the long story of Musa Ali Salam and firon. The passage is a
historical narrative, likely from an Islamic history text describing the situation of the Children of Israel (Bani

And the loving mother said to Moses' sister, "My daughter, look at your brother. God has promised me that He
will return the child to me and that He will protect him." So Moses' sister went to look for her brother. And she
heard people talking about a beautiful child in the king's palace. The lady went and stood listening to the women's
conversation in the palace. Moses' sister heard this talk and said politely and kindly, "I know a woman in the
country from whom the child must nurse."A woman said, "I can't believe it! We've tried six wet nurses, but the
baby won't nurse."Another said, "Why not try a seventh? What's the harm?"The news reached the queen, who
summoned the maidservant and said, "Go and take this one with you."
Moses' mother came around, and a servant girl came and brought Moses to her. The child embraced the woman
and began to suckle as if he had been expecting her. Why wouldn't he suckle when she was his loving mother?
Why wouldn't he suckle when he had been hungry for three days? The queen was amazed, and the people of the
palace were amazed, and Pharaoh became suspicious and said, "Why did this child kiss this woman? Is she his
mother?" Moses' mother said, "O my lord, I am a woman of good fragrance and good faith. Every child kisses
me." Pharaoh was silent and provided for her. (3)
