A vehicle covers a distance of 43.2 km in 2.4 litres of petrol. How much
distance will it cover in one litre of petrol?

16. Triangle ABC is right-angled at A and AD is perpendicular to BC. If AB =
5 cm, BC = 13 cm and AC = 12 cm, find the area of ∆ABC . Also find the
length of AD.

Find the circumference and area of a circle whose radius is 88 cm.

17. What should be the value of '�' if the value of 2�2 + � − � equals to 5,
when � = 0?

18. In ∆PQR, D is the mid-point of QR.

19. Dice are cubes with dots on each face. Opposite faces of a die always
have a total of seven dots on them. Here are two nets to make dice (cubes);
the numbers inserted in each square indicate the number of dots in that
box. Insert suitable numbers in the blanks so that the number on the
opposite faces should total to seven.

21. Answer the following questions:
a) Find the profit per cent when a refrigerator bought for ₹ 12,000
is sold at ₹ 13,500.
b) Find the amount to be paid at the end of 3 years on a principal
of ₹ 1,200 at a rate of 12% p.a.
22. An elevator descends into a mine shaft at 6 m per minute. If the
descends starts from 10 m above the ground level, how long will it
take to reach 350 m below the ground level?
OR
In a class test (+3) marks are given for every correct answer and (-2)
marks are given for every incorrect answer and no marks for not
attempting any question.

a) Radhika scored 20 marks. If she got 12 correct answers, how many
questions has she attempted incorrectly?
b) Mohini scores −5 marks in this test, though she got 7 correct answers.
How many questions has she attempted incorrectly?

23. The rainfall (in mm) in a city on 7 days of a certain week was recorded
as follows:
