सामान्य वनर्देि:
1. संपर्ू ण पाठ्यक्रम के आधार पर एक वार्षणक परीक्षा होगी।
2. वार्षणक परीक्षा 60 अंकों की होगी, प्रायोर्गक परीक्षा 20 अंकों की होगी और आंतररक मलू यांकन
20 अंकों का होगा।
3. प्रायोर्गक परीक्षा के र्िए:
i) 6-6 अंकों के दो प्रयोग।
ii) 3 अंकों की एक गर्तर्वर्ध।
iii) 2 अंकों की प्रायोर्गक पर्ु ततका।
iv) 3 अंकों की मौर्िक परीक्षा।
4. आंतररक मलू यांकन के र्िए:
र्नम्नानसु ार आवर्धक मलू यांकन होगा:
i) 4 अंकों के र्िए- दो SAT परीक्षा आयोर्ित की िाएगी र्िनका अंर्तम आंतररक मलू यांकन
के र्िए 04 अंकों का भारांक होगा।
ii) 2 अंकों के र्िए- एक अधण-वार्षणक परीक्षा आयोर्ित की िाएगी र्िसका अंर्तम आंतररक
मलू याक
ं न के र्िए 02 अक
ं ों का भारांक होगा।
iii) 2 अक ं ों के र्िए- एक प्री-बोर्ण परीक्षा आयोर्ित की िाएगी र्िसका अर्ं तम आतं ररक

iv) 2 अंकों के र्िए- र्वषय र्िक्षक CRP (कक्षा कक्ष की भागीदारी) के र्िए मलू यांकन करें गे

v) 5 अंकों के र्िए- छात्रों द्वारा एक पररयोिना कायण र्कया िाएगा र्िसका अंर्तम आंतररक
मलू यांकन के र्िए 05 अंकों का भारांक होगा।
vi) 5 अंकों के र्िए- र्वद्यर्थी की उपर्तर्थर्त के र्नम्नानसु ार 05 अंक प्रदान र्कए िाएगें:
75% से 80% तक - 01 अंक
80% से अर्धक से 85% तक - 02 अंक
85% से अर्धक से 90% तक - 03 अंक
90% से अर्धक से 95% तक - 04 अंक

अध्याय 1: पशुधन उत्पादन और प्रजनन का पररचय
इकाई-1
सवषय प्रवेश:
वतशमान खाद्य सस्थसतमें पशु व पशजु न्य पदाथों का योिदान व पशु उद्योि की सस्थसत। पशधु न
िम्बन्धी िमस्याएं एव िमाधान। पशओ ु ं के िाथ अनसु चत व अव्यवहाररक बताशव व उिके
िधु ार के सलए िझु ाव, पशुओ ं द्वारा प्रदषू ण।
इकाई-2
पशु प्रजनन: पशओ ु ं की प्रजनन िमस्या व िमाधान। पशओ ु ं का चयन व छटनी। पशओ ु ं का
शारीररक भार व आयु ज्ञात करना। निल िधु ार का अनवु ांसशक आधार, सवसभन्न उद्देश्यों के
सलए प्रजनन पद्सतया।ं भारत में कृ सिम प्रजनन का इसतहाि, कृ सिम शक्र ु िेंचन के लाभ व
िीसमतता। कृ सिम प्रजनन सक्रया, कृ सिम योसन को तैयार करना, वीयश िग्रं ह की सवसधया,ं वीयश की
जाचं , वीयश परीक्षण, सहमीकरण, पररवहन। शक्र ु िेंचन की सवसधया,ं फामश पशओु ं में बाझं पन।

अध्याय 2: दुधारू पशओ ु ं की देखभाल व प्रबन्ध व्यवस्था
इकाई-1
पशओ ु ं की देखभाल: पशु का दधू िख ु ाना, िसभशत पशओ ु ं की देखभाल-व्याने के िमय
देखभाल, नवजात सशशु की देखभाल। यवु ा पशओ ु ं की देखभाल, भैंिों का प्रबन्ध, िाडं ों का
प्रबन्ध पशओु ं के सलए पानी का प्रबन्ध।
इकाई-2
पशु आवाि व्यवस्था: पशश ु ाला बनाते िमय मख्ु य बातें, एक आदशश पशुशाला की रचना।
सवसभन्न प्रकार की पशश ु ालाओ ं की रचना, पशश ु ाला के प्रकार, फामश भवन रचना। पशश ु ाला
की िफाई।

अध्याय 3: पशु पोषण के सिद्ांत
पशपु ोषण: पशओु ं की पाचन सक्रया प्रणाली, पशुओ ं को आहार देने के सिद्ान्त, एक अच्छे
आहार के िणु । आहार के प्रकार और उनके िणु , सवसभन्न प्रकार के पशओु ं के सलए आहार।
िन्तसु लत आहार की िणना। अकाल व बाढ़ के िमय पशआ ु हार, समसित खेती। कृ सष-

अध्याय 4: पशुधन उत्पाद प्रौद्योसिकी
दधू के सवसभन्न दोषों के सलए परीक्षण, दधू को उपयोिी बनाना, डेरी िंयंिों का प्रयोि, छानना,
सनमशलीकरण, िमांिीकरण, पास्वयरु ीकरण। दधू िे बनने वाले सवसभन्न प्रकार के पदाथश,
िहकारी दधू िसमसतयां।

अध्याय 5: पशु प्रदशशसनयां व मेले
पशु प्रदशशसनयों के उद्देश्य, प्रवेश सनयम, प्रसतयोसिता पशप्रु दशशसनयों में रहन-िहन का प्रबन्ध,
प्रसतयोसिता में भाि लेने वाले पशओ ु ं की िेसणयां, पशु प्रदशशनी के पशु का चयन व तैयारी। पशु
मेले में पशपु ालकों का शोषण व िधु ार के उपाय। पशपु ालकों को पशपु ालन व डेरी िम्बन्धी
िसु वधायें, पशपु ालन कायश हेतु िहायता।

अध्याय 7: कुक्कुट पालन
इकाई-1
कुक्कुट की प्रमखु निलें व पहचान, कुक्कुट का चुनाव। कुक्कुटशाला, कुक्कुटशालाओ ं के
दोष, आदशश कुक्कुटशाला की रचना, मसु िशयों को सपंजरे में पालना, कुक्कुट िृहों का सबछावना।
चजू ों की देखभाल व प्रकाश व्यवस्था, अण्डे व मांि के सलए पसक्षयों का चनु ाव, अण्डों का
रख-रखाव।

मसु िशयों का आहार, िंतसु लत आहार कै िे बनायें, आहार व्यवस्था, सवसभन्न आयु विों के सलए
आहार, कुक्कुट के सलए जल व्यवस्था। मिु ी स्वास््य रक्षा: मसु िशयों को स्वस््य रखने के उपाय।

General Instructions:
1. There will be an Annual Examination based on the entire syllabus.
2. The Annual Examination will be of 60 marks, Practical Examination will be
of 20 marks and 20 marks weightage shall be for Internal Assessment.
3. For Practical Examination:
i) Two experiments of 6 marks each.
ii) One activity of 3 marks.
iii) Practical record of 2 marks.
iv) Viva-voce of 3 marks.
4. For Internal Assessment:
There will be Periodic Assessment that would include:
i) For 4 marks- Two SAT exams will be conducted and will have a weightage
of 04 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
ii) For 2 marks- One half-yearly exam will be conducted and will have a
weightage of 02 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
iii) For 2 marks- One pre-board exam will be conducted and will have a
weightage of 02 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
iv) For 2 marks- Subject teachers will assess and give maximum 02 marks for
CRP (Classroom participation).
v) For 5 marks- A project work to be done by students and will have a
weightage of 05 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
v) For 5 marks- Attendance of student will be awarded 05 marks as:
75% to 80% - 01 marks
Above 80% to 85% - 02 marks
Above 85% to 90% - 03 marks
Above 90% to 95% - 04 marks

Chapter 1: Introduction to Livestock Production and Breeding
Unit-1
Introduction: Contribution of animals and animal products in the current
food situation and status of animal industry. Livestock related problems
and solutions. Cruelty to the animals or inappropriate treatment and
suggestions for its improvement - Pollution by animals.
Unit-2
Animal Reproduction: Problems associated with animal reproduction and
their solutions. Selection and culling of animals. Determination of body
weight and age of animals. Genetic basis of breed improvement, breeding
methods for various purposes. History of artificial reproduction in India,
advantages and limitations of artificial insemination. Parts of artificial
vagina, sex, methods of collection, preparation of artificial vagina,
methods of semen collection, examination of semen, semen testing,
storage/freezing, transportation. Methods of sperm insemination, infertility
in farm animals.

Chapter 2: Care and management of farm animals
Unit-1
Care of animals: Drying milk of animals, care of pregnant animals - care of
newborn calf and care at the time of weaning. Care of young animals,
management of adult cow/buffaloes, management of bulls, management of
water for animals.
Unit-2
Animal housing system: Main points while making animal shed, Design of
an ideal animal shed. Types of sheds. Construction of different types of
cattle/buffalo sheds, farm building construction. Cleaning of animal shed.

Animal Nutrition: Digestive system of animals, principles of feeding
animals, qualities of a balanced ration. Types of feedstuffs and their
properties, feeds for different types of animals. Calculation of balanced
ration. Animal feeding, mixed farming in times of scarcity and flood. Use
of agro-industrial by-products in animal ration, importance of mineral
mixture for milch and growing animals.

Testing milk for various quality parameters, making milk useful for
