6. Section B (Max. Marks 40) 5 x 2 = 10
Reading comprehension
This is a question to check the reading comprehension of the
students who are supposed to find the right answers from the given
unknown text/ passage. Each correct answer carries two marks. Only
5 questions are to be attempted.
7. Composition and writing 7 + 3 = 10
This being a subjective type question the division of marks will be
as follows:
Content – 7 marks
Syntactic and grammatical accuracy – 3 marks

8. - Questions based on the texts
- This is a question based on the texts (1 to 10) of the prescribed 4 x 21/2
book. The division of mark for each question will be as follows: = 10
- 1 1/2 marks for content
- 1 mark for grammatical rendition

9. There are 6 questions out of which 5 are to be translated from 5x1=5
Russian into English. Each question carries one mark. Formation
of the sentences, grammar and spellings will be taken into
account for marking each sentence.

10 Out of 6 sentences 5 are to be translated from English into 5x1=5
Russian. Marking criteria will be the same as in question No. 9.
