सामान्य वनर्दे ि:

1. संपूर्ण पाठ्यक्रम के आधार पर एक वार्षणक परीक्षा होगी।

2. वार्षणक परीक्षा 60 अंकों की होगी, प्रायोर्गक परीक्षा 20 अंकों की होगी और आं तररक मूल्ां कन 20
अंकों का होगा।

3. प्रायोर्गक परीक्षा के र्िए:
i) 6-6 अंकों के दो प्रयोग।
ii) 3 अं कों की एक गर्तर्वर्ध।
iii) 2 अंकों की प्रायोर्गक पु स्तिका।
iv) 3 अंकों की मौस्तिक परीक्षा।

4. आं तररक मूल्ां कन के र्िए:
र्नम्नानुसार आवर्धक मूल्ां कन होगा:

i) 4 अंकों के र्िए- दो SAT परीक्षा आयोर्ित की िाएगी र्िनका अंर्तम आं तररक मूल्ां कन के
र्िए 04 अंकों का भारां क होगा।

ii) 2 अंकों के र्िए- एक अधण-वार्षणक परीक्षा आयोर्ित की िाएगी र्िसका अंर्तम आं तररक
मूल्ां कन के र्िए 02 अं कों का भारां क होगा।

iii) 2 अंकों के र्िए- एक प्री-बोर्ण परीक्षा आयोर्ित की िाएगी र्िसका अंर्तम आं तररक मूल्ां कन
के र्िए 02 अंकों का भारां क होगा।

iv) 2 अंकों के र्िए- र्वषय र्िक्षक CRP (कक्षा कक्ष की भागीदारी) के र्िए मूल्ां कन करें गे और
अर्धकत्तम 02 अंक दें गे.

v) 5 अंकों के र्िए- छात्ों द्वारा एक पररयोिना कायण र्कया िाएगा र्िसका अंर्तम आं तररक
मूल्ां कन के र्िए 05 अं कों का भारां क होगा।

vi) 5 अंकों के र्िए- र्वद्यर्थी की उपस्तिर्त के र्नम्नानुसार 05 अंक प्रदान र्कए िाएगें:
75% से 80% तक - 01 अं क
80% से अर्धक से 85% तक - 02 अं क
85% से अर्धक से 90% तक - 03 अं क
90% से अर्धक से 95% तक - 04 अं क
95% से अर्धक से 100% तक - 05 अंक

अध्याय 1: पिु प्रजनन

प्रिनन की पररभाषा, मद/एस्ट्र स चक्र और प्रसव, मादा प्रिनन प्रर्ािी, नर
प्रिनन प्रर्ािी, दु धारू पिु ओं में र्नषेचन की प्रर्क्रया, दु धारू पिु ओं में प्रिनन
का महत्व, नर और मादा प्रिनन के हामोन, र्े यरी पिु ओं में गमी/ एस्ट्र स का
पता िगाना, गभाण विा र्नदान।

पिु प्रिनन की पररभाषा, अंत:प्रिनन, समयुग्मिता, अंत:प्रिनन न्यू नता,

बर्हिः संकरर्, अंतरिातीय संकरर्, संकर प्रिनन और इसका महत्व, कृर्त्म
गभाण धान, प्राकृर्तक प्रिनन की तुिना में कृर्त्म गभाण धान का िाभ, एकार्धक

ओव्यूिेिन भ्रूर् िानां तरर् प्रौद्योर्गकी (एमओईटी), वीयण संरक्षर्, र्वर्भन्न
पिु धन र्वकास योिनाएं ।

अध्याय 2: पिु पोषण के वसद्ांत
पिु आहार का चारे और सान्द्र संघटकों में वगीकरर्, िुगािी करने वािे
पिु ओं के र्िए सूिे चारे और हरे चारे का रूक्षां ि और ऊिाण स्रोत के रूप
में महत्व, पिु ओं के र्िए पानी की भूर्मका, िु गािी करने वािे पिु ओं और
कुक्कुट के र्िए सान्द्र फीर् के रूप में ऊिाण और प्रोटीन के र्वर्भन्न स्रोत,

र्वर्भन्न प्रकार के अनाि, िि और कृर्ष-औद्योर्गक उप-उत्पादों का पिु ओं के

रािन में उपयोग, िर्नि र्मश्रर् और दु धारू तर्था र्वकासीि पिु ओं के र्िए
इसका महत्व, पिु उत्पादन में र्वटार्मन और उनकी भूर्मका।

कुक्कुट की दे िभाि और प्रबंधन: चूिों का ब्रूर्र्ं ग प्रबंधन, चूिों, ब्रॉयिर, ग्रोअसण,
िे यसण और ब्रीर्र पर्क्षयों की दे िभाि और प्रबंधन, अंर्ों का ऊष्मायन और बुर्नयादी
है चरी प्रबंधन गर्तर्वर्धयाुँ , अंर्े की संरचना और बनावट, पोल्ट्र ी फामण में र्नयर्मत प्रबंधन
गर्तर्वर्धयाुँ , पोल्ट्र ी टीकाकरर्, पोल्ट्र ी का चयन और छटनी करना।
अध्याय 7: स्वच्छ र्दूध उत्पार्दन
दू ध दु हना, दू ध दु हने के तरीके, दु धारू पिुओं की दे िभाि और प्रबंधन, स्वच्छ

दु ग्ध उत्पादन को प्रभार्वत करने वािे कारक, दू ध दु हने से पहिे और बाद में दे िभाि

4. पिु पोषर् के संबंध में िानकारी: पिु आहार, रािन संतुिन, पिु ओं के आहार के
र्िए उपयोग र्कए िाने वािे र्वर्भन्न फीर् सामग्री का संग्रह और पहचान।

5. पिु पािन और संबंर्धत संिानों के बारे में िानकारी तर्था सरकारी पिु र्चर्कत्सा
अस्पताि, पिु र्चर्कत्सा र्वश्वर्वद्यािय, पिु धन फामण और पोल्ट्र ी फामण , र्मल्क प्ां ट का
दौरा।

Class- 10th Subject: Animal husbandry Code: 021
General Instructions:
1. There will be an Annual Examination based on the entire syllabus.
2. The Annual Examination will be of 60 marks, Practical Examination will be
of 20 marks and 20 marks weightage shall be for Internal Assessment.
3. For Practical Examination:
i) Two experiments of 6 marks each.
ii) One activity of 3 marks.
iii) Practical record of 2 marks.
iv) Viva-voce of 3 marks.
4. For Internal Assessment:
There will be Periodic Assessment that would include:
i) For 4 marks- Two SAT exams will be conducted and will have a
weightage of 04 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
ii) For 2 marks- One half yearly exam will be conducted and will have
a weightage of 02 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
iii) For 2 marks- One pre-board exam will be conducted and will have
a weightage of 02 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
iv) For 2 marks- Subject teacher will assess and give maximum 02
marks for CRP (Class room participation).
v) For 5 marks- A project work to be done by students and will have a
weightage of 05 marks towards the final Internal Assessment.
v) For 5 marks- Attendance of student will be awarded 05 marks as:
75% to 80% - 01 marks
Above 80% to 85% - 02 marks
Above 85% to 90% - 03 marks
Above 90% to 95% - 04 marks
Above 95% to 100% - 05 marks

Chapter 1: Animal Reproduction and Breeding

Reproductive system: Definition of reproduction, breeding, estrous cycle
and parturition, Female reproductive system, male reproductive system,
process of fertilization in dairy animals, importance of reproduction in
farm animals, Hormones of male and female reproduction, Estrous
detection in animals, pregnancy diagnosis.
Animal breeding: Inbreeding, homozygosity, inbreeding depression,
outcrossing, Interspecific hybridization, Cross breeding and its importance,
Artificial insemination, Advantage of Artificial insemination over natural
breeding, Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer Technology (MOET),
semen preservation, various Livestock development schemes.

Chapter 2: Principles of Animal Nutrition

Feed and fodders: Classification of feedstuffs, roughage, concentrates,
Dry fodder and green fodder as roughage in ruminants feed. Role of water
in animal production, Energy and protein sources as concentrate feed for
ruminants and poultry, cereals, protein cakes and agro-industrial by-
products, Nutrients and their function: Carbohydrates, Protein, Minerals,
Vitamins and their role in animal production, Mineral mixture and its
importance in livestock feeding.
Chapter 3: Viral diseases of livestock and Poultry
Viral diseases of livestock- FMD (foot and mouth diseases), Rabies,
Cowpox, PPR. Viral diseases of poultry- Ranikhet diseases, Fowl pox,
Marek’s disease
Chapter 4: Bacterial diseases of livestock and Poultry
Bacterial diseases of livestock- Tuberculosis, Johne’s disease, Mastitis,
Haemorrhagic septecemia, Brucellosis(infectious abortion), Black quarter.
Bacterial diseases of poultry- Fowl Cholera, Pullorum.

Protozoan Diseases-Trypanosomiasis(surra), Babesiosis (red water
disease), Theleriosis (tick fever), Coccidiosis

preparation of animals for livestock show, judging of animals, methods of
age determination in animals, Routine management practices at a dairy

management of chicks, broilers, growers, layers and breeder birds,
Incubation of eggs and basic hatchery management practices, Structure and
composition of egg, routine managemental practices at a poultry farm,
Poultry vaccination, Selection and culling of poultry.
Chapter 7: Clean Milk Production
Milking, methods of milking, care and management of milch animals,
factors affecting the clean milk production, care and management before,
during and after milking, principles of milking animals, cleaning and
disinfection of milking parlour, milk processing, pasteurization of milk,

parameters.
