BOARD OF SCHOOL EDUCATION HARYANA
Syllabus and Chapter wise division of Marks (2026-27)
Class- 11th Subject: Hindustani Music Vocal (MHV) Code: 638
General Instructions:
1. There will be an annual examination based on the entire syllabus.
2. The annual examination will be of 30 marks. The practical (practical) test
will be of 50 marks and the internal assessment will be of 20 marks.
3. Practical (Practical) Examination for 50 marks, questions will be asked in
the following manner.
i) Practical Booklet of 20 marks.
ii) 05 marks for viva about classical knowledge of any one raga.
iii) 05 marks for viva about classical knowledge of any one taal.
iv) 15 marks for working knowledge of any one Raga and any
one Taal (including one sargam song, one tarana, one
Vilambit khayal).
v) 5 marks for oral and practical test of Bhajan, National
Anthem (on Harmonium).
4. For internal assessment:

i) For 6 marks - Three SET exams will be conducted which will
have a weightage of 06 marks for the final internal
assessment.
ii) For 2 marks - A half-yearly examination will be conducted
