Answer. The smallest sh is 1 cm long and the biggest sh is about 16 meters.
1m = 100 cm.
Thus ,16 m = 16 X 100 = 1600 cm.
Hence, the biggest sh is 1600 times longer than the smallest sh.

Q13 Look at the different types of boats some boats have motors and go further into the sea. since
they go far out they can catch more sh. These boats travel faster, at the speed of about
20 km in one hour.
A) How far would the motor boats go in three and a half hours?
B) How much time will they take to go 85 km?

Answer. (a) The boat travels in 1 h
Then it will go in 3 h = 3 x 20 = 60 km
And it will go in ½ h = ½ x 20 = 10 km
So, the distance covered by boat in 3 and a half hours = 60 + 10 = 70 km.
(b) The time took by boat to 80 km = 80/2 = 4h
Total time has taken = 4h 15 min.
