1. 1. Warli art can be related to Mathematics on the basis of the geometric 2
shapes and lines used in it.
2. They simplified the shape of natural objects into circle and triangle to
represented human forms, plants, trees, animals etc. and defined them
with the help of lines.
OR

1. Five objects in nature used commonly in Madhubani art are fish, birds,
animals, turtle, sun, moon, bamboo trees and flowers.
2. Love, valour, devotion, fertility, and happiness due to prosperity,
symbolized by geometric patterns are an important feature of this art
form.

2. 1) Composed in broken planes in cubistic style, the painting Mother 2
Teresa is made in oil on canvas by M.F.Hussain.
2) A faceless figure with soft flowing drapes of the blue bordered white
saree, symbolizing Mother Teresa, is shown leaning protectively
over the body of a sick old man.
3) Her left palm in abhay mudra gesture, assures the needy to have
faith in the healing power of God.
4) Behind her two saree covered heads symbolize other nuns nurtured
with same kindness like Mother.

4. 1) The Lion Capital discovered from Sarnath near Varanasi was built by 2
Mauryan king Ashoka.

3) It has four Asiatic lions sitting back to back facing the four cardinal
directions—north, south, east and west with courage and conviction.
4) Below the lions on the abacus is the Buddhist symbol of Dharmachakra
known as the wheel of righteousness.

horse and the deer are symbols of power, speed and grace.

and other official documents.

5. 1) Among the seven wonders of the world, Taj Mahal, is a mausoleum 3
made with white makrana marble
2) It was built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan in the loving memory of his
beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal at the banks of river Yamuna in Agra
3) It showcases Indo Islamic Architecture with features such as
the four Minarets standing tall to reach God,

5) A variety of artistic elements like carving, floral drawings and calligraphy

(1) Kailasanatha temple of Ellora Caves is one of the largest rock-cut
temples in the world.

monolithic rock temple.
(4) At the entrance there is a huge rock screen with carvings and a two-
level doorway with leaves on top.
(5) A door on the lower level leads into the double-storey gopuram, which
has exquisitely carved sculptures on the walls.
(6) Goddesses Ganga and Yamuna stand at the entrance gateway.
(7) There is a hall, a Nandi mandap leading to the garba griha (sanctum)
