being of our planet. They provide oxygen, which is essential for all living beings on
earth to survive. As they breathe in, they absorb harmful carbon dioxide from the
atmosphere, thereby significantly reducing the global greenhouse effect and
helping to regulate the Earth's climate. Furthermore, forests act as natural habitats
and are home to numerous species of animals, birds, and insects, maintaining the
delicate ecological balance. Without trees, the earth would rapidly become a barren

Trees also provide us with valuable resources like timber, fruits, medicines, and

shade during scorching summers. Unfortunately, rapid industrialization and
urbanization have led to rampant deforestation, posing a severe threat to our
ecosystem. Planting more trees and strictly preventing deforestation is the only
viable way to save our planet from the looming dangers of global warming, climate
change, and habitat destruction. It is our collective responsibility to protect these
green guardians for the sake of future generations.

Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom, popularly known as Mary Kom, is one of
India's greatest and most inspiring athletes. Born on March 1, 1983, in a poor
farming family in Kangathei village, Manipur, her early life was filled with extreme
hardships. She used to help her parents in the agricultural fields while balancing
her schooling and athletics. Inspired by the tremendous success of Manipuri boxer
Dingko Singh, Mary decided to pursue boxing against her father's wishes. Her
father initially feared that the combat sport would ruin her face and negatively affect
her marriage prospects.

Despite the lack of proper training facilities and financial support, Mary’s
sheer determination and relentless hard work led her to historic victories. She holds
the record of being the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the
first seven World Championships. In 2012, she brought immense pride to the nation
by winning a bronze medal at the London Olympics. Often referred to as
"Magnificent Mary," her extraordinary journey from a humble village girl to a global
sporting icon proves that with courage, no hurdle is too big. The Government of
India honoured her with the Padma Vibhushan in 2020.

Solar energy is undoubtedly the most abundant and easily accessible energy
m
e
resource available on earth. It can be captured and utilized in several innovative
s
l a
ways, and as a primary renewable energy source, it forms an exceptionally
ag
important part of our clean energy future. Solar technologies are designed to
convert abundant sunlight directly into electrical energy. This is achieved either
through advanced photovoltaic (PV) panels, which are commonly seen on rooftops,
or through large-scale mirrors that concentrate solar radiation in massive power
plants. This harvested energy can be used immediately to generate electricity for
homes, industries, and public infrastructure, or it can be efficiently stored in high
capacity batteries for later use during the night or cloudy days. The most remarkable
m
aspect of solar energy is that it is absolutely free, practically endless, and causes

absolutely no harmful emissions or air pollution, making it highly beneficial for the
s e m
s e fragile global environment. By transitioning away from fossil fuels and heavily
g la
g la adopting solar technology, countries can reduce their carbon footprint, combat a
a climate change, and ensure sustainable development. Embracing solar power is a
crucial step towards building a greener, cleaner, and more energy-independent
world for everyone.
