start living there. We take care of them by giving water, food and shelter.
Plants help animals. A huge mango tree was home to birds, squirrels, monkeys and many
other animals. Plants give animals food and shelter.
Animals help plants. A monkey ate a mango and threw out the seed. A new plant would
come up from it. Squirrels bury nuts and forget them, so they plant thousands of trees.
We get many things from plants. Fruit, vegetables, shade, wood, medicine, fibre for
clothes and fresh air all come from plants.
We need each other. We give animals and plants care, protection, food and shelter. From
cows, buffaloes and goats we get milk and loving company.
Animals make the soil fertile. They spread seeds, and their waste makes the soil fertile.
This helps plants grow near and far.
