Q1 Talk to any one of your grandparents or any other elderly person. Find out, when she or he was
eight-nine years old –
(i) Where did she or he live? Name that place
(ii) From what material was her or his house made?
(iii) Did they have a toilet in their house?
(iv) In which part of the house was food cooked?
(v) A lot of mud was used when Chetandas' house was made. Why?
Answer. (i) She lived in a hut in a village.
(ii) Her or his house was made of Bamboo, mud, wood, straw, etc.
(iii) No they do not have a toilet in their house.
(iv) There was a separate kitchen.
(v) Mud helps to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter.
