Why?

Answer. Grass has roots which grip it to the soil. There is no root in the stick. So, it is easy to pluck
the stick but not grass.

Answer. Yes I saw a plant that grew over a wall at my school . That was the back wall of my school. I
had some questions in my mind when I saw the plant.

Answer. Question in my mind was from where the seed of that plant come on the wall?
And the Answer Is - The seed of the tree was carried by a bird to the wall.
Also that was banyan plant.

Q4 Abdul saw a huge tree that had fallen on the roadside. He remembered the neem tree in his
courtyard. He could see some of its broken roots. Abdul thought–
(i) Would someone have uprooted such a big tree or would it have fallen on its own?

(iii) Abdul on seeing a tree surrounded by cemented ground, thought that how will it get rain
water?

Answer. (i) Strong winds uprooted the tree.
(ii) This tree would be about 50 years old.
(iii) The tree gets water through its roots which go deep into the soil.

Answer. Yes, when I go to my village I swung from banyan tree, I held rope like thick structures
which was hanging from the branches of the tree..
