Answer No. 9 Translation any two of the following passages into Urdu or Hindi
or English 7X 2 =14 Marks

(a) Hakim Omar Khayyam Neyshaburi is one of the great scholars
of Iran. He was a mathematician, an astrologer and poet of his time.
His ancestors were from Neyshabur. He was born in 5th century in
the city of Neyshabur and he died in the same city in 517. Now the
tomb of 'Umar Khayyam is near the city of Neyshabur.

(b) A cat reached a fox. The cat, who thought the fox was a clever
animal, greeted him and said, "How are you doing?" The proud fox
looked at the cat and said, "Poor! Rat hunter! How dare you ask me?
How much information do you even have? How many arts do you
have? The cat embarrassedly said I only have one art. The fox asked,
"What art?" and the cat said, "When the dogs follow me, I can jump
on the tree and save my life." The fox laughed and said, just only
this? However, I have 100 arts. I feel sorry for you, and I want to
teach you how to deal with dogs.

(c) Malik Jamshid said, "Oh damsel, I will take you out of here.
Afterwards, he picked up Parizad on his compound and drove off.
When he reached the gate of the city, he remembered that he had
forgotten the flowers. Parizad said, "I am the daughter of the fairy
king. When I laugh, it sheds flowers from my laughter, and if I cry,
it sheds pearl from my tears. Malik Jamshid was delighted and
thankful to God for excellence. Then he brought Parizad home,
asked for a judge, and he married with her.

Once upon a time, a shepherd boy lived in a village. Every morning, he
took the sheep of the rural people from village to the green and
prosperous hills and nearby the village so that the sheep would eat fresh
grass. In addition, he was alone almost all day, and one day he was bored.
It was Friday and he had to be with the sheep again. From the top of the
hill, his eyes fell on the people of the village who had gathered side by
side in the middle of village. Suddenly, he thought something and
decided to do something interesting to have a little fun. He shouted: "The
wolf came, the wolf came, and the wolf came.
